I think most of you know about the top brand of watches, Glashutte. While we refer to some details, some of you may be unclear. Therefore, I limited my topic on the unknown Glashutte.

After the World War II, the eastern Germany formed the Glashutte State-owned Enterprise by merging seven watches factories of Glashutte. In the following decades, Glashutte was almost isolated with the western world. There were 2000 employees in the enterprise with the main purpose to produce one hundred thousand watches of simplicity and practical use for the Eastern European Group. After the combination of eastern and western Germany, This State-owned Enterprise changed the name to Glashutte Uhrenbetried GMBH ?GUB?, and took over the watch company of Eastern Germany under which there are two brands called Glashutte Original and Union Glashutte.
