The New Offer
A wristwatch phone is certainly something that should excite a lot of people. These types of technology are what people have grown up believing as science fiction. With these new developments, the boundaries between what people believe to be science fiction and what is real begins to blur. More and more fantasies might become a reality. This might just be a start of an exciting time in this industry. So what is this new mobile phone that has pushed the lines of reality? Well, it is the LG’s new wristwatch phone, the LG GD910.
Design and Features
The GD910’s design is a simple one. It comes in a body measuring 61 x 39 x 13.9 mm, and weighing only 85 grams. It comes in black and in white, and has a touchscreen that measure 1.43-inch with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. It also comes with a leather strap that measure around 1 inch (in terms of the width). Overall, the design is simple, and not as futuristic as some might have wanted it to look like. Some might even suggest that the total package of the mobile phone might seem a little fake.
In terms of the functionality, the GD910 has a variety of features that provide users with a reasonable level of functionality. This wristwatch phone includes a Bluetooth headset as well as Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity with A2DP. This headset provides users a chance to avoid the unwanted image of looking crazy, while talking into his / her wrist.
This mobile phone also comes with a touchscreen that utilizes a flash user interface. It also provides a clear enough image, even when viewed in sunlight. It has quad-band EDGE / GSM / GPRS and 3G support (with 7.2Mbps HSDPA), and a 2 GB storage space. The GD910 also has a video-calling capability as well as recognizing voice commands, and a Flight mode. It also has a built-in camera that adds to the fun.
Other Features include an MP3 player, text-to-speech capabilities, SMS / MMS sending and receiving, a browser, games and a lot more. It is also water-resistant for those brave enough to try it. Certainly, functionality is one thing that LG did not forget when they designed this one.
Drawbacks
The LG GD910 also has a lot of drawbacks, which include its design. It is simply too bulky and might look a little awkward, especially for people with small wrists. Other problems include the touchscreen’s propensity to become a little slow in reacting to touches, a lack of an FM radio, a washed out color and contrast display, as well as a lack of an expandable memory option. But certainly the biggest drawback of this mobile phone is its price. It is simply too expensive for the amount of style and functionality it offers.
That said, for those people who wish to make their fantasies a reality, they are welcome to try this new offer. It will not be the best but at least it’s something new. It might not be what most people expected but it is certainly one step towards a promising future for the whole industry.
